The task of rebranding Heartfelt Alpaca Creations was definitely a new and exciting experience. Knowing little to nothing about alpacas, I had my hands full for sure. Starting with the logo and insole redesign, I jumped right in with an open mind and endless hours of googling images of adorable fluffy alpacas. The Heartfelt owners raise their alpacas in mid-missouri, where they use the fiber for many different products - their insoles being their most popular (and comfortable!) product. My goal with the logo and marketing material redesign was to represent the personality of not only the hard working owners, but of the alpacas.

Demitasse Creamery is a fictional coffee and ice cream cafe located in Geneva, Illinois (a small suburb of Chicago). The owners wanted it to feel professional but not cold and corporate, high end without looking too snooty or boring. My concept was to make this packaging a gender-neutral, simple design with consistency throughout each item with color, layout and repetition of patterns.

Swallowtail Vineyards is a fictional award winning, boutique winery, with a team dedicated to the pursuit of "good times and fine wines." Making only small lots of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, among others, owners Ben and Sarah Sterling sought out to change the "old-fashioned" look of their packaging for a new image that should be fun and appeal to the new generation of wine lovers. To meet the needs of the owners, I made a hand-drawn logo and pattern to appeal to the new generation of wine lovers.

PACKAGING NEEDS: 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($225 a bottle), 2007 Pinot Noir ($57 a bottle), 2010 Chardonnay ($44 a bottle), 2012 Pinot Gris ($35 a bottle)

Grainwood Farms is a fictional medium size organic farm located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that specializes in whole grain. They have decided to expand to the cereal market, and it was my job to design 3 cereal boxes (2 adult cereals and 1 child) and a logo. I knew I wanted a text-based logo, so I used a watercolor approach which matches the "on-the-water" concept.

I don't know much about Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but I do know it borders Lake Michigan! This led me to the decision to brand the cereal based on sail boating. The Crusin' Cranberry and Honey Harbor cereals have a simple sailboat design on the front, and a detailed and easy to follow step by step process on tying different types of boating knots (all made in Adobe Illustrator). The kids cereal box is a more creative and kid-friendly box which features a pirateship and kid pirate on the front of the box. The back is a word search with pirate lingo.

Somerset Village is a soon-to-be apartment complex with 5 different buildings, a park, surrounding schools, and a small community for the tenants. I created a timeless logo design for the whole complex, and 5 others for each individual building.

ICT Muscle & Joint Clinic is a newly founded company who provides chiropractic care to those in Wichita, KS. I branded the company with the hopes of creating a fresh, healthy and restoring look. Aside from creating the logo, I designed their business cards, brochure, and company banner for clinic events.

Starsla Boo is a fictional baby boutique for girls. I wanted the brand to come across as playful, elegant and a fresh outlook on children's brands. I decided to play off of a watercolor theme - the elephant, giraffe and balloon are all made from watercolor. The paper throughout the branding is sparkly to represent the elegant and playful side. Starsla Boo is designed to be kid friendly while still appealing to the adults purchasing the products.

Based out of Chicago, IL, PlotPoint Financial LLC is an experienced and fresh CPA firm catering to small businesses and individuals looking for forward-thinking and solution-oriented accountants.

I was tasked to brand this newly-found CPA firm to stand out from their competitors and represent the modern and up-to-date feel this flexible company was going for. While they wanted to represent contemporary opportunities, they also wanted to show their wide-range of experience and growth opportunities. I created a sleek and simple logo, website and business cards, check out the website here:

Kendall Row is a soon to be online e-commerce baby boutique. I've created their logo, and will soon create their website and marketing materials!
